Grapes come from the prized Las Suertes vineyard where vines are 10-100 years old. The old vines are trained in the historic trenzado fashion while the young vines are planted using the Cordon Royat format.
Aged in a solera (2 barrels) that Jonatan García Lima started with the 2010 harvest. He pulls 40 liters (80 500ml bottles each year of aged wine from two neutral 225 liter barrels to be replenished with the wine from the current harvest. Fortified to 15% Alc with 12% residual sugar remaining in the finished wine.
Very rare!
