Sourced from the estate vineyard of Quercigh (4.69 hectares) situated at an elevation between 130-240 meters.
Cialla is a monopole appellation, a recongized sub-zone of Collio Orientali del Friuli where Ronchi di Cialla is the only producer.
Normally the Ribolla Gialla and Verduzzo are harvested and fermented together. The Picolit is normally harvested about 10-15 days later. Fermented in barriques, about 10% new and the rest second to fifth passage. The wine is aged for an additional 11 months in the same barrels followed by 20 months more aging in bottle before release.
The 2022 Ciallabianco is exotic, with a mix of tropical florals and citrus tones complicated by notes of incense and ginger. It envelops the palate with ripe apricot and nectarine, balanced by the onset of crunchy minerals toward the close. Tangerine hints mix with tart apple and spice as it finishes long and staining, yet still fresh.
