“The NV Rosé de Saignée Pur Meunier is one of the most distinctive wines in Mignon’s range. Pinot Meunier done as Rosé de Saignée yields a Champagne of breadth, texture and resonance. Dark red cherry, kirsch, rose petal and floral notes all flesh out as this racy, ample Rosé shows off its personality. This is a much richer style than the Brut Rosé Pur Meunier. The saignée style really works well with this fruit. Mignon’s Rosé de Saignée has the depth to drink well with pretty much anything at the dinner table. 93 points.” – Prior

Older Reviews:
Made of pure meunier, this is bold and ripe in its fruit flavors, with an ample body and firm structure. The savory character of the 2011 vintage is reflected here not in a vegetal character, but rather an amaro-like bitterness under the fruit that’s pleasant and intriguing. It finishes with soil-driven salinity and excellent balance, and the texture in particular is impressive, feeling elegant and refined.
