From the plentiful 2023 vintage, Fabrice Dodane chose to “sell” some of his own estate grown grapes from Domaine de Saint Pierre in Arbois to his distribution company, Le Dos d’Chat. This explains the tradition domaine label edited to include the négociant details.
Fermented and aged with no sulfur or other additions, this wine shows perfect harmony with floral fruit aromatics of ripe, but not overripe, Poulsard grapes grown with a deft hand in a rare vintage when all the stars lined up for the Jura growers. Long and full, this wine retains the light blush red color that the varietal is known for with gorgeous tension on the finish.
What better way to express the notion of “less is more?”
