This wine is produced from Courbet’s oldest Chardonnay parcel, planted in 1973. With full southern exposure, the soil contains significantly higher levels of limestone than the normal bottling. The wine is aged in barrel (20% new oak) for 10 months followed by an additional 10 months in vat.
This wine has another dimension resulting from the higher mineral content of the soil and older vines. More intense, brighter, but also richer and more persistent. Only 65 cases produced.
