Grown in the Marnes Bleus clay soil that are unique to this region and that Savagnin excels in. Why “L’Origine”? Because Savagnin is one of the oldest varietals and is actual the base for many other grapes grown today.
This small cuvée come from young vines that are crushed and put through a skin maceration for 18 hours. The fermentation and aging process takes place half in neutral oak barrels and half in stainless steel tank. The result is a very floral wine that is the true expression of Savagnin. This wine is topped off or ouillé during the aging process in barrel. Only 75cs produced.
