Rocky volcanic soils with some sand covered with native vegetation.
One of the most refined wines of the lineup, El Ciruelo shows telltale herbal/floral whole cluster notes in the nose. Tannins are silky, but present as they hold together a medium weight wine that is tense, fine and long. Mineral notes are rounded out with ripe fruit on the palate as this will be a very fine wine of terroir once the structural components soften a bit.
