The Vigna San Martino Chianti Classico is the project of oenologist Giampaolo Chiettini. Giampaolo spent many years working alongside Paolo De Marchi as winemaker at Isole e Olena, where he honed his skills as a winemaker and developed his love of Sangiovese. This is a personal and intimate project for him from a tiny vineyard in Argiano, part of the larger area of San Casciano Val di Pesa. Organically grown grapes, native yeast fermentations, a light hand in the cellar all coalesce to produce a Chianti Classico Riserva that rivals the best of the whole of Chianti.
