Although the vintage is not listed on the label, as it is a “vino da tavola,” refer to the item code for the actual vintage. The wine could have been described as a Langhe DOC Rosato, but a small administrative slip made the wine take on the simpler classification. Although, labeled as such, is not the lesser for having the more humble designation.
Made from 60% Nebbiolo, 20% Barbera and 20% Dolcetto there are aromas of strawberries, pomegranate and just a touch of orange blossom. The alcohol is low (12.5%) and the acidity is high (I don’t even want to know the percentage!) but suffice to say that this wine deserves a little food to go with it.
