Pierre Duroché took over the reins from his father in 2005 and has steadily elevated the quality of wines at this fine estate ever since. Their broad range of vineyard holdings is impressive, to say the least, including Bourgogne and village appellations, top premier crus and several Grand Crus. The style here is all about understated power and elegance with fine-grained tannins and an earthy, briny mineral core, which is a hallmark of Gevrey terroirs. The wines are forward enough to drink well on release but have the requisite structure to age gracefully.
