2018 Beaune “Grèves”: (66% whole clusters). Here there is a bit more wood influence on the distinctly earthy and quite floral aromas of dark currant, poach plum and a softly spicy top note. The sleeker if not quite as dense medium-bodied flavors possess focused power that really builds as the dusty and serious finish sits on the palate. Excellent. (91-93)/2033+ -Burghound.com
