100% Frappato from estate organically grown grapes in Vittoria.
2019 harvest bottled in fall 2020 during harvest. Fermented and aged in amphora with only indigenous yeast. Secondary fermentation was achieved through the addition of 2019 grape must added to 2018 still wine and then bottled with no sugar added (think Agrapart Experience or Vouette et Sorbée Sobre). Disgorged in February 2021 with no dosage.
Fairly fresh pink color and showing hints of strawberries and raspberries in the nose. Floral, rhubarb and cherry notes lead into a wine with bright freshness and mineral backbone. Tense with a persistent finish, this wine is hopping with plenty of life ahead. Very complex, high-toned with delicious red fruit.
