Produced from grapes harvested with higher maturity levels than Lizières, the bunches are de-stemmed, fermented and macerated on the skins for at least four weeks. Three years of barrel aging follows, in 500L neutral oak barrels, after which the wine is bottle unfined and unfiltered.
This wine shows a medley of ripe fruit confit, black olives, figs, and sour cherries. Backed up by silky but structured tannins and good mineral notes, this wine is very long and intense; it deserves all of the cellar time that one might accord it.
