2023 Grand Crew is a Vin de France of Grenache & Syrah & Pinot Noir made from purchased organic fruit from the Vaucluse, and vinified in what is called a “blouge” style (blush/rouge). The technique that Antoine uses is to direct press up to 50% of the red grapes at harvest. This light rosé colored must is then poured over the rest of the harvest to produce a darkish blush wine that has skin contact that creates the darkish color, some tannins and overall mouthfeel and soft structure of a light red with a round and fresh sense of lift. In essence it’s mixing white & red.
Aged 40% in stainless steel, 40% in concrete egg, 20% in amphora
