The 2023 growing year was very heterogeneous. A rainy winter was followed by a quite moderate spring, providing favorable conditions for the vines to thrive. July brought very high temperatures, with three heat waves which reduced the yields somewhat.
The grapes are hand-picked to boxes of small capacity and carried to the cellar in a short space of time. The vinification is traditional, with 12 hours of skin contact on the harvest day, followed by 24 hours of settling after press. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats with temperature control. Aging is in 400L French neutral barrels for 12 months, in contact with the fine lees, but with no batonage.

The wine shows truly elegant mineral aromas with fresh notes of lime balanced out by hints of smokiness. The pronounced acidity in conjunction with an unctuous round middle and good structure make for a wonderfully expressive wine on the palate. The aromatic profile is elegant and refreshing with a persistent and complex finish.
